At Whaley Bridge we favour a Map, Master and Move on approach.
Under this approach, we use our knowledge of our learners to map their current skills and knowledge. From this we plan the learning needed to move on towards ambitious goals.
For many of our learners we believe that high quality class teaching, delivered through a curriculum which has been adapted to reflect any areas not taught due to periods of remote learning is the best way for learners to make progress.
For some learners, moving on may require targeted support or intervention to master particular skills or knowledge, and where-ever possible this is carried out by our own teaching team who know the children best.
