Whaley Bridge ERNursery provision at WBPS
We offer nursery places to 2, 3 and 4 year olds between 8am and 4.30 pm.
Our nursery is a Governor Led provision, which aims to build on the school’s desire to enable every child the chance to shine, through a stimulating, safe environment. We firmly believe in delivering high quality early educational experiences though hands on experience with sustained and substantial access to outdoor learning.
Our wonderful nursery team aim to know and value each child as an individual, providing nurture and support as children develop.

Nursery funding entitlements
We accept funded and non-funded places in our Nursery.
If you are unsure of the funding you may be entitled to, please see the Government website on the link below. More details are also in the posters attached.

Nursery information for Working Families
If you are not entitled to Government funding, we have non-funded places available. We can accept payment via Tax Free Childcare Schemes, or direct into the School bank account. Please contact us for more information.

Links with other local nurseries and transition arrangements
We are fortunate that there are a number of excellent private nursery providers in Whaley Bridge. As a school we aim to work in partnership with all the local providers, and we enjoy inviting nursery pupils from the local area to attend events in school throughout the year.
We ensure that prior to starting school we visit children at their Early Years setting, as well as inviting pupils to spend time with us in school.
