Polar Bear
Welcome to our Year 6 class: the Polar Bears! This is a fantastic year group and we have lots of fun learning about WW2; Ancient Greece; and our local area.

Home Learning
This term, we are learning about how Whaley Bridge has changed over time. Your child may want to conduct their own research into one of the following subjects to support their learning:
- Todbrook Reservoir
- Peak Forest Canal
- River Goyt
- Industry in Whaley Bridge
- Whaley Bridge and its links to WW2
They may also want to create their own sketch map of a particular area of Whaley Bridge that interests them.

Please continue to read regularly and use TTRS to practise your times tables.
Homework will be set on Friday and is to be completed by the following Wednesday.

Homework Tasks:
- Log onto TTRS to practise your times tables. (Please spend at least 10 minutes a day on this.)
- Please log onto Spelling Shed and complete the task.
- Please log onto Deepening Understanding and complete the tasks.
- Please listen to your child read at least three times a week and remember to ask them some of the VIPERS questions to check their understanding.
OWL Homework
This term's O.W.L. homework will be due in school on Monday 20th March and we will be sharing the children's creations with the school that week.
